I have currently been on an unstoppable Supernatural, Doctor Who (NuWho... for the MOST part), Torchwood, Jonathan Creek (more obscure, less budget, but as many braincells used as...), Sherlock BBC "kick".

And then there is "Deadman Wonderland" which had enticed me. It is strange that they are calling their one night a week anime block Toonami. Did they not forget how they started?

It was back when hey had censored, and less cesored ("God of Death" and showing BLOOD) versions of Gundam Wing. Toomani made the "Midnight Run" that had the FIRST PG rated shows along with others.

It was so popular that there were "untapped" audiences up that late they THEN created Adult Swim which was to be half anime and half comedy. So much for keeping the half anime deal.

What pisses me off the most is that Cartoon Network especially during the Midnight run SHOWS PROGRAMS THAT ARE NOT CARTOONS! It makes me want to scream and pull my hair out each time. THAT is what anime has been replaced with?

I haven't watched any new anime in forever. I think the last ones I kept up with were Loveless and Trinity Blood, and that's been what? six years?

I watch entirely too much regular tv though. Breaking Bad, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Eureka (RIP), Warehouse 13, Smash, Sanctuary (RIP), Glee, Fringe, The Walking Dead, Pretty Little Liars, Bunheads, and we've been watching a lot of NCIS and Criminal Minds reruns on A&E/USA. There's more that I watch, I know, but those are the ones sticking out in my head right now. (No judging for the teeny shows; they're good. :P)

I already miss Eureka. ;_; I was a little disappointed with how they wrapped it all up. I can't specifically put my finger on any one thing, but it just didn't seem quite right until the last few seconds when Carter was driving Zoe back to the airport. I don't really want to say anymore than that for now though. (Spoilers, sweetie!)

Now I just have to tide myself over until Doctor Who and Once Upon a Time start back up. Oh, and hockey season!

Ive been watching Eureka on netflix and its really good! Im just getting ready to start season 4. :D

I haven't been able to bring myself to finish Eureka. I'm too sad over its cancellation. I think I have four or five episodes to go. That's how I was with Sanctuary, too. Couldn't make myself watch it for a couple weeks.

Whenever anyone talks about Eureka, I think Eurekas Castle. Now that was an awesome show.
Oh man that really was an amazing show. Also gummy bears and tailspin and under the umbrella tree!
I hated Eureka's Castle. >.>

I never really watched it, but I remember that my younger brother liked it a lot.

I will chime in with Adventure Time, Rebecca Sugar has to be the best song writer alive. ;p
Life is like an orange, it is small, round and has a few pips in it... Oh, and some have half of one for breakfast.
Regular Show wins over Adventure Time in my book. I do not know why for certain, but Regular show really jives with me. Meanwhile, the first episode of Adventure time was... a bunch of little bears raving inside a monster?

Video game playing fairly average 20 year olds trying to (barely) keep their job when randomness such as a game of rock paper scissors turning deadly (as in vacuum hole in the sky deadly) made me laugh alot more. Also about the lack of respect by getting paid with change in plastic lunch baggies instead of an actual cheque.

But to each his or her own.

I actually thought Regular Show was going to be completely retarded from the previews when I first saw them, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I actually watched an episode or two. Hands down it's become one of my current favorite cartoons. YAYUH!
signature image Hello, sweetie!
Plus, Regular Show teaches you importnt life lessons such as:
- the power of making sure you go through with "doing a solid" for a friend
- be or pretend to be at least somewhat sad when a friend leaves for another job instead of 100% happy for them or else they will feel not missed,
- the way to earn respect is to get a high score on a video game at a very populated area establishment, just not on your boss s time.
- Borrowing your supervisor s journal to write good things in about yourself might SEEM like a good idea...

Anyways, Cloudy I like your signature too. Is it from the episode where she points the camera to the angel, notes the timestamp, then jumps into space?

I saw another one that was an animated .gif where the tardis was parked horizontally along a building then all the sudden, river falls in, a few seconds later there is the splash of the pool and it is subitled "There is ALWAYS" a way out. Whovians come up with the most witty things. ^_^

Do Me a Solid was one of the best ones Ive seen. I also really like the one where they buy the tabletop RPG and then try to get a refund because it sucked. The Rigby doppleganger was pretty funny too--heck, they're all funny!

Yeah, my siggy is from the episode The Time of Angels right before she inscribes her message on the ship's home box with her gun, "There's always a way out," is a line from the following season' episode Day of the Moon. And yes, she does throw herself off the building to land in a horizontally "parked" TARDIS' swimming pool lol.

One at a time people!
ONE AT A TIME!
It's funny. I had this weird dream the other night where I went back to when I was six years old, knowing everything I know now, and I got to relive my life. One of the thoughts I remember having was "Oh god, it's gonna be 26 years before I get to see new Doctor Who!" I was really upset over that.

This has to tell you how screwed up my priorities are. Could you imagine all the SPOILERS I would know, though?? It'd be totally awesome.

It shouldn't be toooo much longer until we get new episodes now, though, should it? I'm kinda dying to know what happens next.

Last I read, new episodes will begin airing August 25. *_*

I was going to make a comment about how the season is going to be broken down, but then I realized, "Spoilers!"

Well I know it has been said the first episode is supposed to be the biggest Dalek episode. They also didn't want to go CG, they used every real Dalek they could get their hands on, even borrowing ones from people's private collections.

We also know that we finally lose the Ponds "tragically" is all that will be said and that is why The Doctor changes his outfit (but still keeps a Bow-Tie).

There are strong rumours The Master will return. There are also rumours of Captain Jack returning. I am very happy about both of these :) I actually like those two better than any series-long companion.

Is anyone following the Olympics? I just watched the Men's Team finals for gymnastics finally, and it was quite a nail biter at the end!

I know a lot of Americans turned off after they stopped showing the US Team, but I found it to be an overall exciting watch. And congratulations to Great Britain on winning the silver medal!
I got my best friend into Doctor Who recently and now she's obsessed with River/Alex Kingston. She's managed to watch an alarming amount of Alex's work, and she came over tonight so we could watch her Moll Flanders.

After all the crappy movies we've seen with Alex in them, Moll Flanders was actually really good! It's definitely not for anyone underage though, lol.

I checked IMDb earlier and it said that episode 7.1 will air August 25th, so   Cloudburst  had the right information there. I can't wait! That will be the Saturday before my surgery, so I'll still have the ability to bounce around and flail and generally go nuts over new Doctor Who, even if River's not in the first few episodes.

I'd be super happy to see Jack or The Master return. OH GOD especially in a River episode. Could you imagine Jack and River together? THE SHEER AMOUNT OF GRATUITOUS FLIRTING!! But I'd only really want to see The Master if they bring back John Simm, and I doubt he's good for another round as that character. Regeneration should get him another face if he does show back up.

SailorCosmos: I haven't watched any of the Olympics apart from the Opening Ceremony. I realize that the Olympic games are more than "just sports," but I'm just not enough of a sports fan to sit around and watch them. I am proud of Team USA for each and every win and loss, because regardless of the outcome, they made it there; they went; they played. It's just not my thing. =/

I have seen two trailers for the next season and all they say is "Autumn". I really wish they would give me more than that.

At least I know that Supernatural is coming back the 3rd of October. I have a number of Doctor Who signatures on another community site... But then again, there I have rotating signatures so they aren't Doctor Who ones all of the time.

Cherrii  who said anything about sports. :-) I just like to stare at all the beautiful athletes in little-to-no spandex! LOL. I'm only half serious. I actually do enjoy the technical aspects of several sports...diving, gymnastics, water polo and synchro are all interesting for me to watch. As a non- footbal/basketball/soccer/baseball fan, Olympics is just about the only time I get to watch the sports I enjoy on TV.

This theme is horribly busted on iPhone. I need to delete it and make something that doesn't make my eyes bleed.
Honestly I'm not much of a sports person either, but I can appreciate the significance of these global games. I pretty much only watch the Summer Olympics for the more-than-half-naked men. Not surprisingly, water polo, swimming, and diving are my favorites. Seems like the swimsuits get smaller each year, and I like it! I vote for a return to the original spirit of the games though, where everyone competed naked. Just saying...

Now I actually like to watch some of the competition in the Winter Olympics. I'm already a fan of the NHL, so hockey is a given. I've also become addicted to the curling.
signature image Hello, sweetie!
Cloudburst  Are you kidding me? Curling has been a personal obsession of mine since childhood. Any sport than can be played with a bunch of polished stones and some weird brooms on a frozen river has to be pretty much the best sport ever.
I never really took much notice of it until the last Winter Olympics in Vancouver. There were a lot of people at work who were always watching it in the break room. It looked quite silly until I gave it a chance. After a couple matches though, I was hooked! xD
signature image Hello, sweetie!
I wonder of Quidditch will ever become an Olympic sport... the current collegiate version in which the Snitch is an actual person... whom is both on track AND wrestling.

Gives a whole new meaning to "Catch me if you can..."
